So I'm at the point where I need to make the money I need to get to Grad school, and I'm going to take a few last commissions in this last month before I move in order to help raise up the funds.

This will be the LAST time I take any more commissions folks so if you have always fancied a badge or charm from me, it will be your last chance. When I get to grad school I won't have either the time or the desire to do furry art for money, and I start up by mid June...so Buy art from me

Firstly Check out these two Cheap auctions I have going over on Furbid:
Medium size wolf T-shirt Only 2 USD starting bid plus Shipping
Phone Charms commissions
Now to the commissions:

Charms can be on candy (plastic bead) bracelets, phone charms or hemp bracelets, and I give special deals on mate bracelets (2 charms on each bracelet).
Badges are laminated with no clip, but for a little extra I do make hemp lanyards. Just ask me if you are interested.

I'm feeling a bit better tonight, and I need y'alls input.

So I'm trying to sell these following things:

Nintendo DS with a custom cover and shrinky Dink charm with DS Case
Nintendo Wifi controller
Pokemon Silver with 72 hours of game play.

So my question is should I sell this all in one lot on Furbid or try to break it down into different lots and sell some of it on Ebay? Would anyone here be interested in buying any of this from me? I won't take any less than about 90 or so for the custom DS.

Also to the local furries I have some tails here I need to get rid of:tails under cut )
If you are local to me and you are interested in one let me know, and I'll probably just give them away. If you aren't local and really want one I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping.

Yes I do have Pay pal. gamergeekgoddess@gmail.com

Oh and I'll be putting up an auction for some phone charms tonight:

If you are interested I'm offering them on my LJ for the reduced price of 5 USD each and that includes mailing to US and Canada (add 1 USD for shipping to the rest of the world)

So if you are interested in any of this stuff let me know. I'm trying to raise money to finally move off to grad school, and I could certainly use the help.

On April 16th, 1958, the scientific world was robbed of brilliant woman, Rosalind Franklin.

Raise your glasses today in her honor.

Who is Rosalind Franklin

Haven't done the public posting of an interesting bit of science news in a while, so here ya go:

Key scientist sure "God particle" will be found soon

GENEVA (Reuters) - British physicist Peter Higgs said on Monday it should soon be possible to prove the existence of a force which gives mass to the universe and makes life possible -- as he first argued 40 years ago.

Higgs said he believes a particle named the "Higgs boson," which originates from the force, will be found when a vast particle collider at the CERN research centre on the Franco-Swiss border begins operating fully early next year.

Perhaps it is lofty to postulate this might hold the key to unlocking long distance faster than light space travel.....? Hmmmmm time will tell

This article in Time accounts for a lot of the reason I'm vegetarian. There is a lot more to meat consumption in the US than just "it hurts animals". There are huge environmental costs as well:

Rethinking the Meat Guzzler

From The New York Times:

Once, these animals were raised locally (even many New Yorkers remember the pigs of Secaucus), reducing transportation costs and allowing their manure to be spread on nearby fields. Now hog production facilities that resemble prisons more than farms are hundreds of miles from major population centers, and their manure “lagoons” pollute streams and groundwater. (In Iowa alone, hog factories and farms produce more than 50 million tons of excrement annually.)

Animal welfare may not yet be a major concern, but as the horrors of raising meat in confinement become known, more animal lovers may start to react. And would the world not be a better place were some of the grain we use to grow meat directed instead to feed our fellow human beings?

This part is also something I wanted to point out:
The environmental impact of growing so much grain for animal feed is profound. Agriculture in the United States — much of which now serves the demand for meat — contributes to nearly three-quarters of all water-quality problems in the nation’s rivers and streams, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

This is mostly what is causing the Dead Zone in the Gulf that I might be working on doing research with. A lot of this industrial waste from these meat factories, which then in turn pollutes and chokes the Gulf fishing industry, which on smaller scale is a far more sustainable form of protein. Not to say that the Gulf Fishing industries don't have their own impact, but smaller scale fishing boat operations have less impact, and sea food is far more healthy.
